« Slippage » is the work I brought to France.
It explores the literal slippage between body, space, image and sound.
When this happens the viewer of the work finds themselves in a place « in between », a liminal space which is then open to all sorts of « readings » and narratives........
In « Slippage » which is responding and transforming over a year to each place it visits, I have chosen to work with three specific areas / materials :

The framed image - coloured slides (through an ancient projector)

The moving body (my own)

Soundscapes (creating sonic atmospheres through found sound)

When these three materials meet they create a hybrid a fourth element which becomes a dynamic live event. M.T.
